Ukraine war: Nigeria to start supplying gas to Europe over sanction on Russia by EU

Nigerian to start oil supply to the European nations following sanction placed on Russia by EU (European Union) for invading the Ukrainians and there properties since February 2022.

The EU Delegation to Nigeria and Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) made the disclosure.


The Deputy Director-General, Department for (Energy), European Commission, Matthew Baldwin, confirmed this to newsmen in Abuja, Daily Post reports.

Baldwin is in Nigeria to meet government officials and private sector players, including key stakeholders in the energy sector.


The official admitted that Europe is in a tight spot, following the war the instability in its gas market and the threat of cutting off supply to the European nations.
