Nigeria police force accused of charging a lady victim a whooping N100,000 to track down the fraud star who literally scammed the operator known as Joy of N75,000. —- The victim who was identified as Mrs Ade tula Elizabeth noted that the fraudulent act took place at her POS spot after paying an identified man called Victor the sum of N75,000.
According to my receptionist, Victor told the operator to give him N75,000 cash and he’ll give her his ATM card for cash withdrawal and she could take N2,000 as service charge, and Joy agreed.
After Joy handed the cash to Victor, he dropped a nylon bag with her under the pretext of coming back to pick it. He also asked her to give him N50 to quickly buy something from a store close by, but he never came back.
When Joy checked the nylon bag, she found five pieces of sachet water. This was when she came to her senses; she ran outside in the rain, crying and looking for him everywhere, but he was gone. She couldn’t explain what happened or what came over her; I think she was charmedVictim claims!!!
Later the incident took place, Mrs Adetula and the operator called Joy and her employer approached the police station at Ago to alert them about what happened which they were told to pay a whooping deposit of N100,000 which was a demanded by the officer in charge.
Confirming the incident, Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Benjamin Hundenyin condemned the act to pay officers to do their job, as he promised that the suspect would soon be apprehended.
